️ Applications of M12 8-Pin Connector

✅ 1. Multi-Signal Sensor/Actuator Connections

Ideal for sensors or actuators that require multiple digital or analog I/O lines in a single connector.
Reduces the need for multiple cables and simplifies wiring.

✅ 2. Encoder and Resolver Connections

Used to transmit quadrature signals (A/B/Z) and power in one connector for motion control systems.
Supports differential signal transmission for noise immunity.

✅ 3. IO-Link and Analog Sensors

Supports IO-Link devices that require additional data and diagnostic channels.
Carries analog signals (e.g., 4–20 mA or 0–10 V) along with control power.

While standard M12 D-coded connectors are for Ethernet, some X-coded M12 connectors (also 8-pin) are used for Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T).
These are shielded and used for high-speed communication.
